Everyone is a Reader,
some just haven’t found their favourite book yet…
Let’s build up a
healthy Reading Community of our school and build the foundation for a lifelong
learning.
The Book Worms’ Club has been formed with the aim of bringing the book lovers of our school together. This club can help students in becoming a better reader, commit to reading, build healthy relationships and learn from various perspectives. The Readers’ Club offers an environment where readers can explore what types of books interest them most, discuss their favourite stories, authors and books, discover their reading buddies and develop strong bonds with them. Children are encouraged to express their views on readings or a book in club meetings. The leaders of the Club lead such meetings creating a friendly atmosphere for the students.
The avid Book lovers possessing the leadership qualities are selected from the Club for the post of President, Vice- President and secretary of the club. These leaders lead the Club meetings and help in organizing various library events from time to time.
A meeting was organized for the students of Readers’ Club on 26th October 2019. Numerous interesting activities like ‘My favourite Character’, ‘Library Hunt’ were conducted for the members. The President – Aliya Khalil of XI B, Vice President – Tuba Noor of IX B and the Secretary of the Club – Zainab Khan of VIII A also interacted with the students. Young readers felt excited to share their interests in books. It was an enjoyable experience for all book lovers.
